Who invented 3d printing? Superman & other SuperHeroes did!
The world is becoming more and more 3D printed and while we see 3D printing as a new revolution that will change the world completely, someone else just thought about it 50 years ago. That someone is Superman and you can find on this cartoon from 1964 that Superman was already thinking about the genesis of this great technology on a time no one was ever dreaming about it.
Superheroes are the best, don’t you think? But although Superman was the first to step into this revolution, can you imagine which other Superheroes could have done the same with their powers? We thought about it, check it out.
Spiderman and the genesis of 3D printing
Spiderman has the great ability to use his web powers and whenever he wants to keep his clothes he creates a web bag. Could it be more 3D printing than this? His web is like PLA filaments (or better, Ninja flex filaments because of its flexibility) and he produces the bag based on the additive manufacturing, adding material layer by layer, like 3D printing does.
Green Lantern and 3D printing future
Green Lantern could have perfectly created the bottom line for 3D printing concept. With the power of his ring he can instantly create any object, without having to build it. How cool is that? Maybe this can be the next step for the future of portable 3D printers, who knows?
Dr. Strange: like a sci-fi movie
This one was even further on his creation method: with the power of his mind he could create energy. What if 3D printing could develop this way like a real sci-fi movie?
Batman and Iron Man: the smart team
Here it goes again the eternal question: who is smarter, Batman or Iron Man? No matter the answer, both could perfectly have created 3D printing technology and actually they could have done a great team together. Batman is more of a detective, and Iron Man is more tech – sounds like the perfect match, don’t you think? Check also this comic from 1964 where Batman and Superman were already thinking about 3D printing creation!
